Thoughts on the recent British general election - Three key points; Immigration, Proportional Representation, and the Pollsters.

Immigration - 

Keir Starmer has largely avoided addressing immigration, for instance, even after one of his MPs, Jess Phillips, was subjected to abusive shouting after winning the election. 

He's pitiful and will EASILY be pushed around, quite rightly, by the incoming Trump administration.

When asked about this incident, Phillips denied that it was related to Islam and instead attributed it to a general dislike of women by some men. This response seems dismissive of the specific context of the abuse.

Once again, they are not even in denial, but are absolutely PETRIFIED of being called a racist; like Kryptonite to Superman.

And I can only say, that this WILL bring this government down in the future, ie. their denial of a growing Islamic presence in the UK, and a kowtowing even to the most radical elements of it.

Proportional Representation (PR) -

It was interesting to see the press reaction to the Labour victory. They seem to avoid reporting certain facts and are instead focusing heavily on Keir Starmer. Notably, while Labour received only a third of the vote, they now hold two-thirds of the MPs, highlighting the urgent need for a proportional representation (PR) system. 

Keep in mind, we did indeed have a vote on this some years back, but it was soundly defeated, although it was really not a true PR system according to many.

Voting Totals:

Labour’s position of holding two-thirds of MPs with only a third of the vote is unacceptable. There's evidence showing that Labour and Keir Starmer’s supporters needed around 24,000 votes to secure one MP, while the Conservative Party required approximately 56,000 votes for the same result. This disparity is outrageous and underscores the necessity for a PR system.

PR would benefit parties like Reform, which received 14% of the vote but with only 5 MPS, but then again Nigel Farage has always been a supporter of PR.  The Liberal Democrats, who have also always supported PR, would be fairly represented, and even the Conservatives, with around 24% of the vote but only about 19% of the MPs, would benefit from a fairer system.

It's something that should be immediately put to the public vote. 

Pollsters and Polls - 

Despite Labour having 34% of the vote compared to the Conservatives' 24%, the pollsters' predictions were wildly inaccurate. 

At one point, polls suggested (The YouGov poll of 7-8 May) a Labour landslide with a lead of 30 percentage points!  This misrepresentation may have been intended to demoralize Conservative voters, leading them to believe they had no chance.

The low voter turnout of around 52-59% suggests that many Conservative supporters might have been dissuaded from voting due to these skewed polls. It is crucial to address this manipulation by pollsters to ensure fair and transparent elections in the future.

Fun times indeed lie ahead as we navigate these challenges.

It's only the Extremes nowadays - Part 1 - When DEI was Equal Opportunities, when Mental Health was Well-Being

  

When DEI was Equal Opportunities, when Mental Health was Well-being, when Procrastination was someone being a lazy fucking bastard, and when Trannies were men dressed as women.

What's happened to the world?  It seems like, once again, the extremes, or in this case, all the left wing's dreams and cliches have now attempted to be normalised, or at least are normalised by the radical left wing media; who control many sections of the world in at least in what the world thinks.

When DEI was Equal Opportunities -

Years ago, I worked for a trade union involved in all types of HR-related matters. While these endeavours often seemed commendable on paper, they could be quite useless in practice. It's fascinating because on one side, the Unions strive to portray themselves as good, heroic, and decent. Yet, on the other side, they can be just as manipulative and controlling as the managers they were meant to regulate.

Even then, there were individuals then, who took issue with this type of thing. I recall hearing many of my fellow employees attempt to minimize the extent of discrimination or mistreatment, suggesting that it only occurred for a brief period or affected only certain groups. The idea that if you were straight and white, you had it easy was utter nonsense in their opinion!

It was also striking that, in my capacity within HR, I would regularly attend several committees focused on discrimination against protected groups. However, we often found ourselves with literally NOTHING to do or discuss when attending these meetings. Either this type of discrimination simply didn't exist, or it was never brought to our attention. 

One is left to ponder why these issues seem to have intensified in recent times?  If we ARE more progressive in our thoughts, why do we seem to have more of these types of problems?

When Mental Health was Well-Being - 

Please don't tell me that we only have to talk; my US experience tells me that you're talking shite if you believe this.  I remember when I was very young, I heard this all the time when I was at elementary school and then later junior high - that all you have to do is talk, talk, talk and everything will be fine in your life, and your mental health will be perfect!  

What rot!  We did talk as Americans can do, and guess what? 

Everything isn't fine. Currently, over half of the American adult population are on some form of prescription medication. And half of those are taking drugs for their mental health. 

Talking doesn't fucking work.  

Slippery slope - Now, here in the UK, particularly in England, we are meant to follow this pearl of wisdom.  In fact, there was even a televised football special as Prince William met with footballers from the English Premier League and even from the English national football team, who were talking about their mental health - poor, rich souls.

I could have vomited. 

They are once again, making the same fucking mistakes America made 40 to 50 years ago. And of course, nothing will be resolved and nothing will change. And guess what? Everyone will start to get drugged up here as well.  

You only have to look at recent NHS stats, about the increase of prescriptions for “mental illness”.

It's all we hear!  Let's talk, Samaritans, Well Being, Mental Health!, Let's talk! This is all we have to effing listen to.  And all I can say is if you use America, as long-term study sample; it simply, doesn't work!

And has been in debates the last week about "cultural appropriation", that seems to be, if a white man invents ANYTHING, the entire world is allowed to use it! - I have NO problem whatsoever with that.

BUT, if it is the other way around, then whitey is NOT allowed to use it.

As part Hispanic, if you wish to do anything "Hispanic", go right ahead!  It then proves, that "us people" are valued and have "made it"!

And that brings us back to Exhibit A, Sax's instrument, that I've never really cared for, with the exception of two songs:

1) Moving in Stereo, The Cars, 1978 - The ending is sensational, with a sax lead, played by Greg Hawks.

2) Maneater, Hall and Oates, 1982 - Both the intro and rest of the song, is one of the ONLY times I've felt the Sax was used properly.

And that returns us back to the Saxophone.

It appears, to have never really taken off in classical music, perhaps the first and best known piece when the sax was actually used, was Rossini's "Robert Bruce"; what a coincidence, as I presently reside in Scotland and am classified as a "new Scot"!

Later, after it was not gaining too much favour in the classical music world, Wikipedia states:

While the saxophone remained marginal and regarded mainly as a novelty instrument in the classical music world, many new musical niches were established for it during the early decades of the twentieth century.

Its early use in vaudeville and ragtime bands around the turn of the century laid the groundwork for its use in dance orchestras and eventually jazz.

So this beggars the question, why are these Jazzmen still allowed to use it?

Truly awful! A conversation I was forced to listen to on an Airplane - Revolting Leftists

Have you ever been forced to listen to two leftist, wackjobs, with NO plan of escape!  It happened to me yesterday on my flight to Europe for a peaceful week - they just KNEW people around them were listening, as their arrogant tone was on full display.

Possible UK parties to Vote For - Social Democratic Party (SDP)

My final instalment, looking at alternative political parties to vote for in the UK, ends with the above SDP party. 

They are highly interesting, and although, I would disagree with a good deal being a libertarian, I have to accept that that horse is out of the gate for some time (big government), and you have to choose the best, of some terrible choices; ie, I don't believe in the NHS (with a lot of provisions / caveats), but it seems that everyone else does, so how should we run it?

They would appear to me, to be both Tory, Old Labour and populist (Ed; I hate that word!) "right-wingers" - all combined.

For example, they do want to have an honest conversation on both culture and immigration (illegal) - without the hyperbole and name-calling from the woke Left.  And by the way, they are NOT bigots!  Please remember that it seems that the only people who get rich from our present situation are the hyper-rich, and the only ones who get the shaft, are the poor.

They also are against frivolous spending, and their idea of "Covid Bonds" to pay for our current spending predicament, seems a novel (for the 21st century that is) way to pay for all of this - harking back to the War Bonds of World War I & II. 

Equally, as Labour have completely and utterly dispatched themselves from the white, working class as Paul Embery states, in his truly great book - Despised: Why the Modern Left Loathes the Working Class, incidentally, my Book of the Year for 2021, the SDP in my opinion is the ideal choice for the wandering voter, from either side.

They are not reactionary, but calm, logical and innovative at times.  With a respect for both the market & market failings; for both modernity AND tradition (including statues, freedom of speech, etc), and should in my opinion, if we only lived with a form of European proportional representation, figure greatly in our UK parliament.

Possible UK parties to Vote For - Reclaim Party UK

Continuing in this vane, what about the party started by actor Lawrence Fox, who had a celebrated appearance on the ultra-leftist, woke, globalist tv show on the BBC in February 2020, Question Time. 

Today we will look at Reclaim, who once again, have been slandered, ridiculed, etc, though still, with Fox running, managed to pick up 2% of the vote this year, in the Mayor of London race.

And as Fox says on their homepage:

Our modern United Kingdom was born out of the respectful inclusion of so many individual voices. It is steeped in the innate values of families and communities diverse in the truest sense but u e United Kingdom are tired of being told that we represent the very thing we have in history stood together against. We are all privileged to be the custodians of our shared heritage.

We can reclaim a respectful nation where all are included and none are ashamed to have somewhere to call home. I have been so encouraged by the support I have received by those wishing to add their voices to this reclamation of our values.

The people of the United Kingdom are tired of being told that we represent the very thing we have in history stood together against. We are all privileged to be the custodians of our shared heritage.

1) UK Culture - We are who we are, and two fingers to anyone who says we're awful, because there are millions of people trying to get in here, who would disagree with that London-based, middle-class, Guardian reading, conceited attitude.

2) Free Speech - They detest, as I do, the woke Nazis nowadays, who are parading themselves off as "tolerant".

3) Democracy - If it's the will of the people, ie Brexit, so be it.

As anyone with any type of braincells could see, they are hardly "extreme".

At the same time, with the radical Left's, death by a thousand cuts approach, we are in definite need of many of these attitudes being taken on by the mainstream parties.

And this is probably the best bet, when it comes to their existence.

Possible UK parties to Vote For - Reform Party UK

This is an interesting party, that has so much that I believe in, but in my heart, I feel that they are only a Protest party / One / Two Issue party, with very little chance to expand.

Maybe I'm wrong, but feel they will always be on the fringes, of both the left & right.

They can probably be seen as a party for several things:

1) Pro-Brexit

2) Strict Immigration

3) COVID policy (or lack of any)

With the latter being stated as:

No mandatory vaccinations.

No vaccine passports.

No Plan B.

No Plan C.

ever.

Well, that was very succinct!  And whilst many of us agree with much, if not all, trying to sell yourself as a party, that is clearly a one or two issue one, will probably not be a big seller. 

Their Economic plan is one of tax cuts, but at the same time (through added growth of the economy) wanting to spend MORE on the NHS and other public services, naturally after having gotten rid of waste.

They are of course, anti-BBC and wish the cronyism of the House of Lords to be a thing of the past.

All and all interesting, but one party that will always be looked upon as reactionary.

The Week Ahead - What are the choices of us today?

 

The more and more it seems nowadays, that wherever you go in the world, the governments are identical! They are, aren't they/  So what can we do?

This week I'll look at several theories of mine, at least when it comes to political choices that we have in the UK (Ed; Really?).

We will start by looking at the different "fringe" parties, that we could vote for, and other options.  It will be recommended viewing!

But  first, in yet another staggering piece of hypocrisy from McKrankie herself, up here in Scotland, she basically admits that we in Scotland not only have no money, but will probably ALWAYS be dependent on London.

I hear more and more people saying that they're through with the Tories, and fair enough, but as Nigel Farage has said the last week on GB News, there's a wafer thin difference between all of the major parties, which beggars the question - who do I vote for?

Rishi's new British Budget - I can almost hear the 70s returning!

One of my major concerns with Brexit, was not that I was against it, but that it would enable the utterly incompetent and corrupt British establishment, once again to show that with international competition & an absence of their beloved colonies, the UK would enter a phase of becoming a third world nation, just like the 1970s or here. 

Christ!  It hasn't taken that long has it?  What with the petrol shortage, Emergency Room disasters and now, with a tax and spend budget, coming from a "Conservative" (Did anyone say Ted Heath?) government!

Honestly, the budget consists of more taxes for the successful middle-class, whilst at the same time, giving Minimum Wagers an increase in salary of just under 7%!

This is in my opinion a dreadful harbinger to come, as ONCE AGAIN success, hard work and ambition will be punished and the masses who for various reasons do not fit into that category, will be rewarded. 

Sunak should be ashamed.

These type of policies only end in one way, when the successful will choose to ply their trade in another land, and a classic "brain drain" later ensues, leaving more and more of the lower waged and less successful, to fight for crumbs; awful!

Other Bloggers - A critique of other right-minded People

I utterly admire the current state of the alternative news media, alt-bloggers, YouTubers, etc, etc, etc.  Mainly, we are in agreement with many points and with the key problems / solutions that need to be taken in order for the Western world to re-establish itself to be a classical, liberal bastion - an example to the rest of the world (although, we probably still are to them, which has resulted in everyone in the world, wanting to come here and live!).

On the other hand, they seem to me, that every one of them talks about the same stories and merely give their (mainly the same) critique on these stories and topics, both here in the UK and America.

I follow many of them on a daily basis, and they range from The Hodge Twins, Lozza Fox, Reasoned, Mahyar Tousi, We got a Problem, Black Conservative Patriot, et al.  You probably know these and a good amount of others.   

My personal favourite, as he simply is more savvy with the media AND does not hold back, is Alex Belfield.

My "problem" with many of them, is that they do not appear to offer solutions to today's problems, though no doubt they do have them.  Their critique is normally spot-on, but I tend to yearn for more of the "If I were in charge, I'd . . . ", If they have done this or do, do this, my apologies.

Equally, and I do not wish to sound snobbish, is that I have a liking for the "dismal science" of Economics and hold an Honours Degree in that awful subject; so have always had the tendency to think what economic policy should we be taking.  This can range to the funding of NATO, to Foreign Aid, to Immigration, to the problems of the dominance of both the Urban Elites and of the urban-centric policy decisions that it seems that all governments now take into account.

Many of these bloggers don't do Economics, or they revert to the standard "Free Market", "Low Taxes" spiels, that whilst I agree with simply don't cut it with many people today who easily fall prey to simple, socialist "solutions".  These ideas, except for the existing converts,  MUST be explained to any new, potential followers. 

Finally, in order to combat both the leftists and the wokists, we have to look at this as a long run battle and must actually listen to just WHY so many people are vulnerable to the easy "fixes" that the left / wokists have.  Even if these arguments are of an emotional appeal.

Welcome back to the West of Scotland, only tree-swingers need apply

After a lengthy stay on the continent, I had the "pleasure" of coming back to Scotland the past few days.  I arrived at Glasgow "International" Airport, ah, the misnomer of that last phrase, and had to suffer from the typical bigoted, Neanderthal(ness) of the typical 20-something male who lives here, when I entered a taxi to go back to my home.

My Lord!  I knew I was back in this "land that time forgot" zone of the UK.

Naturally, the driver was a supporter of one of the Old Firm teams, and immediately took offence when a fellow passenger referred to the European press who had called a weather system over Great Britain, as a "British System" - He immediately stated, like a gorilla on heat, that "Ah'm nae British, ah'm Scoattish!" - which struck me as both ignorant, rude and stressed that he needed his ears checked!  

I corrected him by saying that this was a German TV reporter, and NOT us or the "English"  press!  He shut up immediately, but naturally didn't apologise for his ridiculous rudeness & ignorance. 

He then of course, went on about Boris Johnson and "them Tories", although he probably doesn't know that it is the SNP and wee Krankie herself, who are in charge of the NHS north of the Border.  

He then stated, oblivious to the fact, that he thought it unfair that "everyone blamed the SNP government for everything", when at the same time he blamed the aforementioned Tories for everything!

He simply  NEVER  listened or wanted to listen to what his passengers said, and will forever be stuck, in his hick, simple-minded views and opinions.

I always see so many people comment as to why or how the SNP continually gets elected in Scotland, this goon was a prime example of why.

Why don't people EVER learn?

Years ago I was happening to be in Seoul, South Korea at the airport where I was drinking with 2 "suits" who weren't wearing suits, and I just KNEW that they were both DIA or CIA, with the young, hick, redneck from the latter, going on about how he hated slit eyes and that the Koreans smelled!  I kid you not!

I thought to myself, is this the standard (sic) of person that these dicks running the agencies are now recruiting?  It was simply unbelievable to see these two in action, though to be fair, the former agent, who seemed more military, was both older and slightly embarrassed by the ignorance of the CIA clown. 

This led me to remember several things:

The infamous murder of an innocent Brazilian in a London Tube carriage, by a group of buffoons in our very own intelligence services in 2005, and also wondered just how BAD these murderous pieces of shit were - arrogant, incompetent and lazy. 

Finally, I also tend to remember that Bin Laden himself, managed (rumoured to have) to escape the lunatics who ran the American military in Afghanistan all those years ago, by merely getting on a motorcycle and riding away!  Morons!

Please go here to see Fox News' Tucker Carlson go off on just how bad things in governments are run today.  He NAILS IT!  And I just couldn't say it any better. 

My point here, is that things are simply always wrong and fucked up by this group of fucking imbeciles!   But who hires them?  Why do they get away with their continuing shocking levels of performance?  Why are they NEVER held accountable for their actions!

For me, I blame the intelligence agencies full stop.  I listened to the great Dan Bongino last week, where he recalled that the differences between the American and British security details, were that the Americans tended to be in your face and in public view, while the British security forces tended to be of an undercover type of nature.  He didn't say either was better; just different.  

But the British way surely must be better, which is why I would prefer the undercover type of thing; but this still asks the question of where exactly is the training and intelligence aspect in all of this?  

To be blunt, I could do a better job!  And I am definitely not joking here. I've been a foreigner in this UK of ours for several decades and have always felt that I can not only go incognito, but at the same time, have been able to always "fit in" as well.

Solution:

We need a fundamental re-think of both our intelligence agencies and the HR element to them!   This would look at a both a long and short term strategy as to what the West's goals and influence should be.

But then again, it will never happen, I'm just dreaming!
